INTRODUCTION OF ISLAM:
What is ISLAM?
Islam began with the Prophet MUHAMMAD (SAW). Islam means surrender and its central idea is surrendering to the will of God. Its central article of faith is that "There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the messenger of Allah". Followers of Islam are called Muslims.
TEACHINGS OF ISLAM:
Islam is the complete code of life. Islam is the only true religion for all human beings until the day of Judgement. We should obey every command of ALLAH. Islam clearly establishes our duties and rights. ALLAH clearly says in his Holy Book:
"Indeed in the messenger of ALLAH (MUHAMMAD)you have a good example to follow for him who hopes (in the meeting) with ALLAH and the last day and remembers ALLAH much."
Islamic teaching are not restricted to the mosque; they are guides for all aspects of life, whether social, ethical, emotional, spiritual, economical and political.
MESSENGER OF ALLAH:
Prophet MUHAMMAD (SAW) was the last of the Prophet's; He was sent by Allah to all human kind. That is why his message had to be complete and inclusive of all aspects of life.
PILLARS OF ISLAM:
These PILLARS of Islam are the basics of Islam. Every Muslim should keep faith on the PILLARS of Islam. The Qur'an is explained and applied by the Prophets (SAW) Sunnah. Prophet (SAW) was not only the leader of the nation, the commander of the army and the teacher of the Muslims; He was also a husband, a father, and a grandfather. The Prophet's teachings organize our relation with Allah.
Allah (swt) said:
"Thus, have We made of you an Ummah (community of believers) justly balance."
Professor Yousaf Qardhawi sees Islam as a "Balanced formula of Rights and duties."
